i still marvel at when the US women won the gold medal in 04 i think it was against either brazil or germany, but either one would prove to be a true challenge, because i do remember that the gold medal game was close and hotly contested from start to finish. i watched as Mia Hamm was surrounded at game's end by the whole team and us staff and saying their goodbyes to her and i think to Foudy as well. it was a beautiful thing to watch i would've cried if i were a girl.

I love Mia Hamm. Soccer is the best sport ever invented by humans....just wish title IX existed when I was in in high school...cheerleading and choir where the only options available to girls in school. Girls today do not know how fortunate they are.
