This is possibly one of the best unofficial Celine Dion duet ever! "Taking Chances" is the title track for Celine's new album on which Celine sings an official solo version. Kara's solo version is done by her band, Platinum Weird.

wow Kara is so talented, she's the same lady that wrote eyes on me for celine too isnt she? She is suchhh a good writer! I love hearing the two voices together! I think both singers give the song a different edge, and both versions are great in different ways. Their age, life experiences and the sound of their voices give the song a different meaning unique to themselves! That's what's so special about music!

ok first of all, she doesn't even have a vibrato, and plus celine is better than her. celine's vocals are higher and she can hit high notes like its nothing and she can change registers easily.

Kara is more of a songwriter than a singer. Writer is more of her thing, and she's quite popular in the music industry for it. Of course, songwriters don't get as much mention as the singers which may explain why she's not as famous as Celine.She wrote many hits for many popular singers.

but vibrato isn't always good. Most who know about music know that you are only supposed to use it if you cant hold the note. Of course Celine uses it because it's what people buy now days. She can for sure hold the notes.

Vibrato doesn't help a person hold a note nor is it the outcome of running out of breath. Vibrato is a natural action of the vocal chords' oscillation when the voice is properly used. Naturally, there is the quality of the vibrato to be considered. It must be not too fast, nor too slow. It must be consistent in speed. Most people singing with no vibrato are using their voices improperly with too much pressure pushing the notes out. This creates the danger of damage to the vocal chords.
