Those involved in this film simply jumped on the bandwagon of having romanticized the involvement between the two. Could it have been an actual relationship considering the main method of correspondence was though snail mail? That doesn't equate to having known each other on a personal-level. It's easy to believe that they did according to the "Power Couple" label, but it's difficult to believe his involvement with Fay Stender as well as some of his female admirers.

Over all of his revolutionary rhetoric and well-written literature, it's interesting how he had difficultly in conveying, articulating, and emphasizing his opinions in a couple of audio interviews. In his last audio interview all he basically did was ramble, and drift so far from certain subjects that although the reporter would repeat some of his queztions two or even three times, he continued rambling. And regarding the participation of women in the revolution, his view was narrow.

Soledad Brotha is the Truth.I just did 6 years in prison and im scarred for life.All i can think of is "Killa Nigga,Rob a nigga,Drug deala bang bang".But films like this,Classified X,Malcolm X,And Sweetback let me know,it wasn't all in Vain.I read this book over ten times,and It changed my life.Made me more in tune with who i am,and who the Enemy really is.The enemy is Greed,Envy and Jealousy.The "Man's plan" worked perfct

Powerful movie. I felt stronger after watching it. Racism, death, hatred ... it's still all over the world in many forms. My way is to make sure i don't harbour any negativity towards anyone or anything thus perputuating the cycle of violence in the world including to animals. As many wise leaders also obstained from eating dead flesh. Peace is possible if everyone quits worrying about other people and just worry about yourself. God Bless George Jackson and all freedom fighters..

It's funny I heard this story when I was a child. My mother would tell me and my brother about our cousins George & Johnathan Jackson..she had newspaper articles on them, had one of Georges books he wrote while in prison..I would brag to all my friends and tell them about my cousins..we share the same blood..I am proud to be a Jackson..I am proud of my cousins and what they accomplished..what believed..what they didn't believe in and taking the steps they thought neccessary to be heard much love

This movie is a joke and an insult to any law enforcement personnel and their families.George Jackson and the BGF are a a sorry excuse for human beings and just looking to glorify their piece of shit so called gang. And here's something you may not know. Guess who is fiancing this movie... yes the piece of crap ex-NBA has been JR Rider who has been arrested several times for drug possession and is a BGF member himself. Here's hoping your movie sucks and nobody shows up to watch it.

Why look up to a person like George Jackson? If this is your example of what a hero is then you are truly lost. How about Ghandi? Mother Theresa? Or anyone else who didn't have to use violence to send their message. Sure this is a violent world but if violence, hatred and racism do not stop with you then you are just perpetuating all those things.

I'm fully aware of the fabrications in "Malcolm X" which I why I mentioned: "without inserting situations in which never occurred, and without false details". I referenced it in the sense of it having chronicled childhood through adulthood, and not simply beginning at the point where he had already made the transformation. But how about releasing a George Jackson biopic in which digs deeper into his persona as a child and as a teenager.

Not only that, it would be interesting if it were to display what he was like when he first started serving his sentence. He certainly wasn't born a revolutionary, and he did his dirt on the inside as well. However, it would be interesting to see what led to him embracing such revolutionary views.
