Credible biologists don't estimate either species getting over 50 feet as I've already explained to you. There is NO reason to suspect they get that large.

possibly, no evidence of such an animal and considering that we have the technology to really look for such large animals, it wouldn't be easy for such a large creature to hide without leaving some trace. Giant squid had been hinting at their existence for hundredes of years.

While the Giant Squid is long, it's nothing compared to the Colossal Squid. The latter species is almost 60% longer than the former, and has swivelling hooks on its arms.

Problem is, how do you find "traces" in the deep body of water? Visibility is still quite restricted with our current technology. Deep sea submarine's lights are only mounted at the front where to help the camera "see". Also how deep do you think sonar can penetrate and determine wether the large body of object is either living or debris? Hell, we still couldn't follow and track whales that are going deep diving if we wanted to unless we attach critter-cam first on it.

i think "monsterquest" made a simple mistake saying that a giant squid is possibly the largest sea creature when actually collossal squads are larger but more dangerous not to mention a blue whale is bigger than a giant squid (which offcourse eats them)
