I saw the movie 2 times in the same night a month ago, and a third time since. I'd watch it a fourth no bother. I think it's a masterpiece. I love the experience I got the first time watching it where I felt like I was Hud in the situation.

too be honst i hated this movie it really really bored me everything just felt recycled and ripped off, by the way seriously why does everybody say that jj abrams is a genius? he was only the bloody producer what about the director or the writer (which in my opinion is the most important cause they actually make the movie)

I liked the movie, solid 8, the camera didn't bother me. The only thing that did was the fact that Lily survived the movie. I've watched it a whole lot of times and I just feel angry about it. I didn't want her to live, especially because the lone female survivor to me is one of the hugest clichès in existance and because I felt they did away with the character really badly. But hey! JJ Abrams, who wrote the stupidest spy ever (Sydney Brostow) wrote this, so...

It seems that in an interview, Jessica Lucas said that Lily was always intended to be the sole survivor, but for my better enjoyment of the movie, I'll assume her chopper crashed for whatever reason. I've never felt this cheated by a survival since an extra in the Shaun of The Dead DVD said that Dianne survived.

Point is, her survival kind of soured the rest of the movie for me. It was like 'yeah, they die... but be happy, the FEMALE extra has survived!' You know, even if all but Hud had died, I would still be kind of okay, but since Lily, who's, admittedly, not a big player, not only survives, but survives with the HUGEST Deus Ex Machina I've ever seen (the chopper with JUST ONE PLACE LEFT, imagine that!), I am sincerely disappointed.

as I am with the choice to fly a chopper with survivors of a disaster caused by a monster ABOVE THAT VERY SAME MONSTER. Can you say 'asking for it'? ...I know you could. I hope Lily will be in Cloverfield 2 like Sarah Michelle Gellar was in The Grudge 2... and ends the same way.

Honestly, they say it's odd for someone to rush right out to the monster like that. Well, I know what that's like. A good friend of mine would easily die for any of his friends. Rob being main character made the movie all the more realistic for me (as realistic as monster movies get anyway =P) because it's the same sort of thing he'd do. Plus, I am totally the camera-man as far as personality goes =P

I mean if you want to really break it down like so many people have, then the movie would have never been made as the Dept of Defense would have never used this video with all the hardware they had rolling and flying over NYC lmao... People just need to stop rationalizing shit and just accept movies for what they are and that would be Movies lol

we used to have similar "show" on TV in my country. 3 all knowing guys basicaly trashing everyone and everything trying to be funny in the process. The show ended becauce people hated it. Your "show" cannot be ended, because its on youtube, but it deserves same destiny. Boooring bunch of BS crap
